Digital Cameras - A Photography Revolution

Are you someone who is always clicking away with a camera? This is no bad thing. It is probably the best and easiest way to keep a record of our lives and the special events which take place throughout. As a child my father would always say that it is impossible to take too many photographs and instilled in me the fact that the family photo albums were probably the most valuable possession we owned. It is just not possible to replace such items. Do you see where I’m coming from?

Over the years my wife and I have taken hundreds of photos, it is great fun to look back and track our daughters progress from baby to toddler to her first day of school. The memories held in these photos are genuinely priceless. Today, we can capture these special moments and events in a new, modern way. Yes, I am talking about the age of the digital camera.

A digital camera has to be one of the electronic wonders in this world and no-one should be without one. The days before the arrival of digital cameras could be a bit of a pain especially the film, remembering to buy one was usually an issue! After purchasing the film it had to be put into the camera and then you were limited to taking probably in the region of 32 photographs for a special occasion you had to guess how many pictures you would want to take and therefore how many films to buy! Then it was off back to the store to have the film processed - a nerve racking time - will the pictures turn out or not? The whole process could be rather irritating to tell the truth.

It is for these reasons that anyone who has had access to a digital camera never has any desire to return to using a conventional camera.

An added bonus is the money saved not having to purchase film and paying for processing of pictures when they don’t all come out properly!

The digital camera has grown massively in popularity over the last few years purely because of the convenience, you have the ability to take pictures any where at any time with no limit of how many and you can delete any not so good photos immediately. Simple! The best part for me is being able to print my own photographs. All it takes is a simple download to your PC and off you go saving time and money in the process. You will find a vast array of digital cameras on sale on the internet with all kind of special features etc. One piece of advise would be to purchase one with a good size memory card.

Happy Snapping!
